Woohoo 3 in a row *high five* I couldn't not share this beauty with the world! Nicki over at Celestial Cosmetics has done it again with a beautiful limited edition holo that's only available in March.
LE March 2014 a beautiful demin blue holographic which I found extremely pretty. It reminded me of Avon Rainbow Blue which I reviewed back in 2012 and has long been discontinued. They are no way dupes but if you are hanging for a denim blue in your holo collection, it's worth the money!
All of these shots are 2 coats of LE March topped with the G&G HK Girl Fast Drying & Super Shiny Top Coat which is also available from Celestial. They are also taken in full natural sunlight for that extra sparkle!
And because I can never leave anything alone, I made an accent finger using Chapel by Celestial which is a silver holographic and then stamped on top using the Emily de Molly EDM02 stamping plate. I thought it stamped reasonably well for a holographic and I was quite impressed on how this turned out.
If LE March looks like your kinda polish then click HERE to purchase your very own bottle now. They will be gone at the end of the month forever (and we all know how hard it is to purchase VHTF bottles of polish!). Not in Australia? No problems! Send Nicki a message on the contact page and I'm sure she'll work something out with you!
Polishes were provided for review but all opinions, Aussie humour and dodgy photography are my own!

... Glitter Gal - Andamooka Blue ...
I'm currently out of action for a few days due to the fact I'm having my wisdom teeth removed :( Anyway I found this gem half completed and hidden in the draft section of my blog! Whoops!!
So today I'm going to show you Andamooka Blue by Glitter Gal! Now anyone who knows me knows that I have a soft spot for flakies! I have quite a few and while many are dupes I still need them all!!! Andamooka Blue is from the GG "opal effects" range which I believe sadly has been discontinued :(
I decided to layer Andamooka Blue over black and have an accent finger stamped in Essence A Piece of Forever using the MoYou Explorer Collection 06 plate. In hindsight I should have made sure that nail was flakie free but at the time I thought that texture underneath would give Australia a rugged look!
Now as you can see I like my flakies packed on! If you are like me then you will find that painting your nails normally will not do this unless you want to put on a billion coats. I've found the easiest way is to paint a blob of polish onto a makeup sponge and then wait for the liquid part of the polish to soak in and then dab onto the nail. This way you get maximum flakie coverage!
Oh and incase you were wondering - Andamooka is actually a town of South Australia where they mine opals.
If you are seriously liking this flake and can't find it in any blogsales near you, the closest dupe I have in my collection is Inglot 204 which is another blue flakie. The only differences I can find is that 204 doesn't have any random flakie shards of orange/green like Andamooka seems to and also Inglot 204 is WAY smaller in size.

... Aussie Nail Monday - Snow ...
Hello and welcome to Aussie Nails Monday!! Todays theme is Snow or Snowmen! I've gone for the snow aspect as I've been really jealous lately of all the beautiful winter pics appearing online. I would say it's summer here but that has been rather non-existent so far this year. I'm sure it'll warm up soon enough though.
The blue is a subtle gradient of 3 Illamasqua pretty polishes called Noble, Muse and Phallic. I really liked how it worked out although I possibly could have gone darker on the tips a bit more so it would stand out further.
I've used Konad White polish for the snowflakes and I've used a few different stamping plates for them as I wanted lots of variety (although I think I could definitely use some more snowflake stamps!) The ones I've used today are Konad m59, Konad m69 and Gals GA41.

I really like how the blues seem to change depending on the light and I spent most of today looking at my nails just to see the colour shift! It's been awhile since I had that fantastic feeling.

... Aussie Nails Monday - Aussie Indies Part III ...
Happy Aussie Nails Monday! The best thing about Mondays if you ask me!
Today, you will need your drool bucket! Trust me! This beauty is from the ever so awesome Emma over at Love Thy Polish. It's Marine Dream ... mmm dreamy!
First thing you'll notice is OMG THE HOLO!!! The above photo was taken in natural sunlight and WOW! That's one bright holo!
Inside during the day, it still shows a sight holo so if direct sunlight isn't an option, never fear!! You can still admire the pretty holo.
All of these swatches are 3 coats and like all the other Love The Polishes I own, there is no lumps, bumps or unwanted surprises. It's also fast drying for those who are super impatient like me! WIN!
Now for a long time I've wanted to showcase my "Wheel of Holo" some more which is my collection of holographic swatch sticks. The closest polish I could find to Marine Dream is China Glaze DV8 and while they are different in colour and holo strength, having Marine Dream in your collection might be able to tide you over if you are desperately lusting over DV8.

... Aussie Nails Monday - Aussie Indies ...
Hurrah! It's Aussie Nail Monday! Today the theme is blue or green Aussie Indies which fits right into my month.
Today I'm wearing Ahhhh ... Aliens!!! by Glam Polish which I've had to layer over Ulta3 Lily White to show it's awesomeness.
Now Ahhh ... Aliens!! is from the June "What's in-die box" which I'm hoping to finally get to wear over the next few days. I know June was ages ago but I'm so far behind on wearing untrieds it's not funny! Anyway "What's In-die Box?" is a mystery box of Aussie indies that comes out monthly and the June theme was "Toy Story".
If you like getting a surprise in the mail then it's well worth saving up for. I'd love to say I can buy every month but my wallet would be crying it's little heart out more than normal.
Incase you have been living under a rock, the aliens from Toy Story look like this ...
A stranger from the outside ... OOOOOOOOOOOOH
So Ahhhh ... Aliens!! is a blue jelly full of green hexs along with flecks of purple and white. It is seriously gorgeous and I like it heaps. It pretty much goes smooth (a gel top coat will take care of any pesky strays). If you are like me, then you aren't a fan of layered glitters but I must say this works great over the white. Looks exactly like the bottle!
The sad news is that I believe this was super limited to the indie boxes. My bottle is labelled that there were only 45 made so if you desperately want this one, you'll have to stalk Aussie blog sales and hope for the best!

... AN Monday - Hearts ...
It's been awhile since I did one of these ...
I'm really please with how it worked out! I'll definitelly be using this one again in the future!
For more pretty Aussie Nails check us out on Instagram using the tag #anmonday or check out the following ladies!
Todays theme was heart and I've been wanting to try out the hot technique of using a hole punch to make designs. Glad I did. That stuff is addictive!!
So this is 3 coats of the stunning Mellow Yellow from piCture polish with hearts made from piCture pOlish Ocean, Kryptonite and Shocked.
I was really surprised on how simple and easy this was ... and also surprised that no one came up with this sooner!!! Basically I painted 3 coats of polish onto baking paper [parchment paper] and let it dry. Then cut the heart shapes out with my heart hole punch and then stuck them on [the baking paper just falls off when you cut! YAY!]

... Celestial Cosmetics - Part II ...
I really wanted to put this as a post on it's own as it deserves your full attention. So get comfy!!
Basically ... if you don't already own a dark blue holo ... YOU NEED THIS!!!!
*drools* Isn't it gorgeous!! This is Galactic Holo from Celestial Cosmetics. It's a pretty dark blue ... and it's holo! Do I need to say more?? No?? Have some more pics then!
So the closest I could find out of my vast holo stash was Glitter Gal Marine Blue. Close match but I wouldn't call them 100% true dupes as marine blue is slightly darker. Side by side in their bottles they definitely don't match [esp under artificial light], Galactic Holo is more on the purple side of blue and Marine Blue is more on the green side but hey ... if you aren't too picky I'm sure you won't notice the difference!!!
And finally a comparison against other random blue holos I own ....
Polishes were provided for review but all opinions, Aussie humour and dodgy photography are my own!

All these swatches are 3 coats of pure awesomeness. Fast drying and drool worthy. And in fairness here is one pic indoors to show off the beautiful colour!

Colours left to right are ... Glitter Gal Marine Blue, Chemistry 515 [same as Ozotic 515], Celestial Cosmetics Galactic Holo and China Glaze 2Nite.
Sadly I don't own OPI DS Glamour but I'd be interested to see how it compares!!
Currently Nicki doesn't ship outside of Australia but I'm sure if you email and ask nicely something can be worked out [or I'm happy to be the middle man!] I'll be back soon with a final installment!

... Celestial Cosmetics - Part I ...
Time flies when
Today I'm showing you some beautiful polishes from an Aussie Indie called Celestial Cosmetics. Honestly this is well worth a look. Australia is pushing out some fantastic Aussie Indies at the moment.
First up is Cosmic Ray. It's what happens when you combine a dark blue jelly with silver bar glitter and white flakes.
Anyone who knows me, knows that bar glitter and myself are not friends. Well I thought not until I met this. OMG I stand corrected. Honestly it blew me away on how much I truely enjoyed this polish. The blue is awesome but having those little glitter pieces shining through ... wow.
Next is Your so W-Earth it ... HA HA HA ... Love the pun!! This is one of those colours that likes to change depending on the sunlight. Sometimes it's more a pastel blue, sometimes its more of a light mint. Tricky! It's also chock full of green, blue and white glitters! They really compliment the base colour.
Mercury Rising is a pretty silver shimmer with a speckle of blue glitter throughout. I don't own anything like this and it was a real treat and it was something different to the rest of my collection. I totally love the shimmer and while I'm here I'll point out that even though there is a lot of little glitters, this was a breeze to remove! I was expecting to find little bits still on my nail days later! But no! Definitely a big plus.
The Pink Planet is a really pretty pink that is more towards red on the colour spectrum. It's packed full of holographic hex and little micro glitter. The world needs more pink! This was very easy on the eyes.
Martians have landed is such a me colour. Mmmmmm metallic! Look at that shine!! In the bottle it's more red but outdoors in full sun, its more purple. Either way I love it so much! I really want to revisit this colour soon and make it matte!
Currently Nicki doesn't ship outside of Australia but I'm sure if you email and ask nicely something can be worked out [or I'm happy to be the middle man!] I'll be back soon with Part II

... Easter Collection - Loki's Lacquer ...
Why shouldn't you tell an Easter Egg a joke?
It might crack up!!
Bad jokes aside, today I'm showing the limited edition Easter polishes from Loki's Lacquer. So grab your easter baskets and get ready for some egg-cellent photos.
Now I've never tried anything from Loki's Lacquer so I'm very curious to see how they measure up. All these shots are 3 coats plus a top coat unless mentioned.
Hey Chicky - Now this polish seriously intrigued me from the start as it's so bright in the bottle and it borders on that yellow/green and honestly I couldn't wait to see what it looked like on my nails.
It's a sparkly yellow gold and while it doesn't look green anymore out of the bottle it definitely is still on the bright side of life [do do ... do do do do do do!]
As a hidden surprise there is some scattered holo action going on. If you are like me and want super smooth nails then you will need to add a top coat. I'd highly suggest the Essence Gel Look top coat - that baby makes anything smooth [and if it doesn't, shove that polish into your swap box!!]
Spring has sprung - While I'll admit I've never had an Easter in the springtime I can see how it relates. I'll admit I found it hard to photo the colour shift in this but it is clearly visible [especially at night] without a dark base colour.
And like Hey Chicky, there is some slight scattered holo action going on. It definitely looks green in the sunlight!
Buddy - The description describes a "pink-silver-green" shift so I'm really really interested so see how this turns out. The bottle appears more of a purple so lets dive in!
While the shift didn't appear without a base I wanted to show this anyway as I really like the colour - a pale pink. This is 3 coats over Ulta3 Black Satin and there is definitely pink, green and silver all going on there. Wowsers Batman. My camera decided that it wasn't going to show the scattered holo but it's there in that soft look.
Bluebell - This is an extremely pretty blue. I originally thought it may be a metallic but it's definitely a shimmer. It's not opaque after 3 coats but it's got that old school streaky goodness going on! Oh yeah!
If you look closely you can see little bronze flecks. These are definitely more noticable in real life.
Actually it really reminds me of those speckled Cadbury Mini Eggs .. hmmmmm. Om Nom Nom Nom Nom
Photo from Nori's Findings - found via Google Images.
So there you go. Out of these 5 I think "Buddy" would be my top runner as I love that shade of pink. All of these polishes could be layered and the possibilities are endless. You just need to find the best combo for yourself!
Loki's Lacquer is an Australian indie and you can find them on Etsy! The link is - http://www.etsy.com/shop/Lokislacquer. Again these polishes are limited edition so if you want any you'd better be quick!
Polishes were provided for review but all opinions, Aussie humour and dodgy photography are my own!
