... Face of Australia Barbados - Calypso Gold ...

Face of Australia - Barbados - Calypso Gold
Purchased from Big W [they have $3 off any Face of Australia cosmetic product at the moment ... so seriously run down there now if you want these cheap!!]
Miss me? I've missed me too! Between school holidays, Easter and having the immune system of a granny and picking up every bug that's walked past my house I have had zero time to paint my nails and sadder still is the fact I haven't wanted too ... I guess that's how you could tell I was unwell!

Over the next few days I'm hoping to review the entire range of Face of Australia Barbados polishes. I have high hopes for them as last years Molten Metallics range still is my most used. I love it that much. So let's get too it!
♫ Sunshine ♫
♫ On my window ♫
♫ Makes me happy ♫
♫ Like I should be ♫

I so loved that song when I was 17 ... sure that's not the Barbados Calypso but that's what I kept thinking of while doing this swatch ... showing my age there!! Like sunshine "Calypso Gold" is what I would describe a bright white gold. It's not white ... it's not gold and it's not what I'd put as cream but it definitely has the magic touch and some beautiful sparkle going on.

This is 3 coats and this polish had some super quick drying time going on. I mean wow! Didn't need to whip out the Seche Vite or anything. As it is a foil/metallic look you will need some ridge filler if you have imperfections you want to hide as they do show up unfortunately. The only thing I didn't particularly like is that I had some bumps appear on 2 fingers but I'm hoping that's more to do with my application rather than the polish itself.
** Final Verdict **
Easy to apply, fast drying time and for the current Big W price well worth a look.  Hopefully I'll be back tomorrow with another FoA beauty :)

... Modelista Flash Nails - On Location Berlin with stamping ...

A quickie for you today! I got some Mash plates in a swap just before Christmas and finally had time to sit down and look [and try!] them out. Hoorah!! Thanks Jeanie for getting me these!
This is yesterdays mani of Modelista - On Location Berlin and I've used my favourite stamping polish [Face of Australia in White Gold] and plate Mash 10. I'm quite impressed so far - zero problems with this particular design. Definitely works a lot better than my dodgy Bundle Monster plates.

... Color Club - Diva Driver ...

Color Club - Diva Driver
Gifted from Jeanie

So ... who's missed me???

I seriously envy you girls who keep up nail blogs while working full time - I'm struggling at the moment to even read blogger nevermind make a post. Life is just extremely busy at the moment and days where I used to be able to have a few hours of "me" time have turned into having meetings, doing school events or Christmas shopping. School ends in a fortnight for summer holidays and I have discovered my next free weekend is in mid January - ugh.

Anyway enough ranting ... here is a beautiful colour that I picked out to wear on the weekend for a wedding [yes another wedding!! Tis the season]

This is Color Club Diva Driver and it's a beautiful pinky purple that seems to change which one it is more like depending on the sunlight. It's a very vibrant and bright colour with high gloss without a topcoat.  I've only used 2 coats and it applied perfectly with no lumps or bumps and it dried quickly.
I decided to glam it up with some stamping from Konad plate m82 using Face of Australia Molten Metallics in White Gold [one day i'll get the hang of these flower stamps and make sure they all face the same direction!!]
*Final Verdict*
An extremely easy to use polish that is bright and happy. In hindsight I probably should have stamped in white instead of white gold but the effect still looks fantastic and what I wanted.

Hopefully I'll be back posting regularly again soon - I'm in a bit of Christmas mood now that wedding season has finished and I'll need to have my nails reflecting that!!
