... Lilypad Lacquer - Bubble Yummo ...

I've been wanting to try this one out for awhile but haven't gotten around to it before now! Glad I've finally got it on my fingertips!!

This beautiful pink is Bubble Yummo from the creative holographic genius that is Nicole from Lilypad Lacquer *drools*

Now, sadly you'll notice that I'm not holding the beautiful pink holo bottle. That's because I got up to grab my camera after painting and this happened.

For never was a story of more woe, than this of Sarah Claire and her Bubble Yummo.

Yes. I dropped it and snapped the neck with 95% of the contents spilling onto my lounge room floor. Unlike Romeo and Juliet, my tale has a happier ending. A beautiful stranger has offered to replace my bottle which was beyond kind and I am still really quite speechless in expressing my gratitude.

Now back to the polish! Obviously, it's bright pink! These shots are of 3 coats and although the camera shows some Visible Nail Line (VNL)  Bubble Yummo isn't a super strong linear holographic polish but it's still a holo never the less. I thought it was beautiful as I love the pink colour but having a secret hidden rainbow was fantastic! YAY!

... Aussie Nails Monday - Aussie Indies Part III ...

Happy Aussie Nails Monday! The best thing about Mondays if you ask me!

Today, you will need your drool bucket! Trust me!  This beauty is from the ever so awesome Emma over at Love Thy Polish. It's Marine Dream ... mmm dreamy!

First thing you'll notice is OMG THE HOLO!!! The above photo was taken in natural sunlight and WOW! That's one bright holo!

Inside during the day, it still shows a sight holo so if direct sunlight isn't an option, never fear!! You can still admire the pretty holo.

All of these swatches are 3 coats and like all the other Love The Polishes I own, there is no lumps, bumps or unwanted surprises. It's also fast drying for those who are super impatient like me! WIN!

International girls, if you are wanting this - head to MeiMei Signatures or Harlow and Co to get your hands on this pretty! You won't regret it!!

Now for a long time I've wanted to showcase my "Wheel of Holo" some more which is my collection of holographic swatch sticks.  The closest polish I could find to Marine Dream is China Glaze DV8 and while they are different in colour and holo strength, having Marine Dream in your collection might be able to tide you over if you are desperately lusting over DV8.

(shade shot!)

... Emily de Molly - No Love Lost ...

I was cleaning out the memory card on my camera and found this beauty. This is No Love Lost by Emily de Molly which is a beautiful red jelly full of squares and hex shapes.

I could only find 2 decent photos to show you as I didn't take many with the camera. I think at the time I didn't think it worked for me. Looking back I think it's stunning and I'm definitely having a regret that's it's gone from my collection.

Stunning. Totally stunning!  The lesson here is don't always judge a polish by it's first impression!

... ChiChi Booty-licious and Femme Fatale Hydraxia ...

Last week I went out to a concert to see the fabulous Beyonce who I've been waiting to see for years (and I mean YEARS) and it did not disappoint! Woohoo!

So these are my nails for the occasion. I know I probably should have gone super glitterbomb but that's not me so I ended up settling on this combo which still very nicely fits into Ozember!  This is ChiChi Booty-licious with a layer of Femme Fatale Hydraxia over the top.

I think the combo works quite well and it gave me a chance to knock out 2 untrieds! Woohoo! When I think of "bootylicious" I don't really think of it being green but hey! You might! *big grin*

I thought it was still very me. It has something different and a bit of a sparkle without being over the top or a pain to remove.

Photo from my instagram account *hint hint* ADD ME!

I'll leave you with some funky footage from the concert.  Not my footage but this was taken from the concert I went too which apparently was a big thing because of her hairstyle change.  Was a great experience and I wasn't disappointed!

... Aussie Nails Monday - Aussie Indies Part II ...

Another polish out my June What's In-Die Box today. Still continuing with the Toy Story theme, we have "How do you spell FBI?" by Love Thy Polish!

I can't believe it took me this long to get to this one. This one is based on Rex the dinosaur from the movies. I hope this gif works out as it's been a long time since I had to make one!

It's a pretty green that very much reminds me of the piCture pOlish mesh shades but with added green square glitter! Gorgeous! I can't fault this formula at all. I layered over Ulta3 Lily White and 2 coats was fantastic coverage. Beautiful and true to the bottle colour.

This is definitely a keeper and sadly it's in the discontinued range over at Love thy Polish so if you like what you see, go now!!

... Aussie Nails Monday - Aussie Indies ...

Hurrah! It's Aussie Nail Monday! Today the theme is blue or green Aussie Indies which fits right into my month.

Today I'm wearing Ahhhh ... Aliens!!! by Glam Polish which I've had to layer over Ulta3 Lily White to show it's awesomeness.

Now Ahhh ... Aliens!! is from the June "What's in-die box" which I'm hoping to finally get to wear over the next few days. I know June was ages ago but I'm so far behind on wearing untrieds it's not funny!  Anyway "What's In-die Box?" is a mystery box of Aussie indies that comes out monthly and the June theme was "Toy Story".

If you like getting a surprise in the mail then it's well worth saving up for. I'd love to say I can buy every month but my wallet would be crying it's little heart out more than normal.

Incase you have been living under a rock, the aliens from Toy Story look like this ...
A stranger from the outside ... OOOOOOOOOOOOH

So Ahhhh ... Aliens!! is a blue jelly full of green hexs along with flecks of purple and white. It is seriously gorgeous and I like it heaps. It pretty much goes smooth (a gel top coat will take care of any pesky strays). If you are like me, then you aren't a fan of layered glitters but I must say this works great over the white. Looks exactly like the bottle!

The sad news is that I believe this was super limited to the indie boxes. My bottle is labelled that there were only 45 made so if you desperately want this one, you'll have to stalk Aussie blog sales and hope for the best!

... Cate Ruby - Prissie Lou ...

Ozember rolls on with another from Cate Ruby!   This is Prissie-Lou which is this gorgeous green beauty!

Now advanced warning that I didn't take these pictures with my regular camera. I wanted to represent the colour correctly and my beloved regular, refused to play nicely!  Hopefully they turn out ok! I'd love feedback though!

Now this is 2 coats and it's super smooth and pretty! I don't own a lot of greens but I definitely liked how this turned out with my skin tone! So gorgeous!

Now since I can't leave anything alone ... I added an accent nail using Cate Ruby Mulberry which I think works really well and added these fantastic stickers that I received recently. How can you not love Asian stickers that comes with Engrish instructions like "You want to paste the parts cleaning" and "The natural air-drying can be".  HA HA HA

I definitely like the design on these stickers but they need to be a little bit more see through on the clear if I'm going to be picky.  I'll definitely give them another go though!

I'll be back for more Ozember fun soon! If you are on Instagram use the hashtag #ozember

... Ozember! Plus Cate Ruby Dixie-Dawn ...

So welcome to Ozember! One of those extra months of the year, along with Smarch! I have a lot of Aussie untrieds and I really need to make some sort of dent into the collection so November is Aussie Aussie Aussie!  Wish me luck as I'm actually on a blogging roll lately which I'm enjoying!

Dixie-Dawn is a beautiful purple that I would probably put into the matte category. It's not super dooper matte like other shades I own but if I put a top coat on it then it would definitely change the shade colour.

As always, Cate Ruby polishes come in that gorgeous bottle with that diamante ring on the the lid. So pretty! This is the 9ml version and the smaller bottles definitely match the larger round 15ml ones.

And as is the case these days, I couldn't just leave it alone so I added dots! These are using Cate Ruby Metal Mix and I think it works really well. Shiny sparkly glitter on top of matte goodness!

I think it works really well in this combo. I've been loving it heaps! Plus my dots finally worked out decent for once! Hurrah!! New doting tools works wonders!

Providing I can bring myself to take this beauty off I'll be back tomorrow for more Ozember action! If anyone else decides they want to join in celebrating the beauties Australia has to offer, let me know and I'll link you to my posts this month!

... Things I love - November 2013 ...

I've been wanting to do this for awhile ...and by awhile I mean 12+ months! *sighs* Now that I've finished studying I really want to get some series going again so here goes!

I know I'm not the only one who loves recommendations and honestly, unless we really chat on FB or you follow me on Instagram (hint hint) you have no idea on what I'm currently loving! Let's rectify that!!

A few months back I brought some items from Help Me Ronda over on Etsy. A lot of the Aussie ladies were raving about Ronda's cuticle treatments so I caved and brought 2 - Pina Colada and Green Appletini. I was not disappointed at all!

Mmmmm Pina Colada!

I love that they get absorbed quickly into my skin and that they don't feel like I've just dumped my hands into a vat of oil. Zero greasy after taste here!

I also give it a double thumbs up for the smell! They are not overpowering yet and they actually match the smell you are expecting it to be (unlike some of the store brands I've picked up in the past!)

Now I go through a lot of cuticle balms, mainly as I'm a bit of a klutz and either lose them, misplace them or leave them in clothing and they die a water death in the washing machine.  Oh how many souls have gone that way. Needless to say, I accidentally left my Green Appletini in my jeans pocket recently and went through an agonising hour watching the front loader machine spin it around and around.

But it survived!! The screw lid is fantastic and not a single drop of water got into the mix. Sure the tin is slightly dented and the label is a bit worse for wear but it didn't peel off!!! Now I can tell you first hand that those Burts Bees tins do not fair aswell!! They turn out a gluggy mess!

I couldn't resist getting some of the bath salts aswell. I'm a sucker for bath things even though I often come out in slight eczema or itchiness a lot of the time. These are great! The untense sports blend is great for tired muscles and I find I'm using a lot after a hard day on my feet.

The pamper me ones are TO DIE FOR!! They feel great plus they leave a great scent behind! I live in a household of males and this definitely makes the bathroom feel nice and fresh! Be gone eau de man!

You can find these pretties on Facebook or on Etsy

Hopefully there will be another loving post at the beginning of next month!! Woohoo!! I love a good series! Also, while I'm here, I'm slowly adding more names to my blogroll again now that I'm actually in a position to read more often! If you wanna be added let me know! xxxx
