... Monday Blues no more ...

Hi guys!

I'm still out of action regarding my arm :( So you'll have to deal with random posts and items until I'm back properly. At the moment I'm not even really able to get polish 100% off my left hand - hopefully it'll heal soon.

Today I received the most beautiful parcel from Alexandra RC. She is such a sweetie. I was feeling so down about my arm and not being able to do much *sobs* and I found this waiting for me.
Holy wowsers Batman! I nearly cried when I opened the box and found these. Thank you SO SO SO SO much for these. I now own a Butter London and some Essence magnetics! *does the happy dance with 1 arm* I don't often post up my mail and I probably should as it's a real highlight of my day.

I shall get swatching once my arm is better! Guaranteed! I'm itching to wear!

I've temporary removed my iSwap logo while I'm on no buy but I'm sure I'll be back wanting parcels again soon.

[edited] ... Dang piCture pOlish are releasing new Ozotic shades 531, 532, 533 and 534 and they look good -  I'm considering breaking my no buy for *itches*

... Polish Fixation - Bad Postie! ...

Bad Postie!
Gifted from the fantastic Erika!
Today I've got for you a gorgeous franken from Erika at Polish Fixation! [go check her out *hint hint*]

This beautie is called "Bad Postie!". Obviously I'm Australian and here we call the Postman [or Mailman/Letter Carrier/Dude that brings your mail etc] the "Postie".  Here ours generally dresses in fluro colours like someone at a rave or with bad colour blindness and rides around on little motorbikes trying to avoid getting run over by reversing cars out of driveways - if you are lucky enough yours walks around on foot.

I swear mine as he is nasty and brings me unwanted bills and not enough parcels of love!! He also doesn't deliver on the weekend and I think as a general rule there should be parcel services on the weekend to brighten your day [no bills though - that just would put you in a bad mood!]
** Postie photo stolen from Google images as I thought I'd look too much like a stalker if I chased mine down the street with a camera **

So Erika has managed to pick up a "Speak like an Aussie" star of approval from me for using the word "postie"!!  Now back to the polish! It's a beautiful blue with holo flecks throughout! Pretty! Application was super easy and if you don't like feeling the holo particles then stick some top coat on for instant smoothness.
As always my camera doesn't want to play nice but all the lovely dots of white are actually holo particles.

** Final Verdict **
Beautiful franken. Fantastic colour. Holo Bonus! Plus I've had this song stuck in my head all day ... "Stop! Oh yes - wait a minute Mr Postman ... Wait! Waaaaaaaaaaaait - Mr Postman"

... Zoya - Dove ...

Zoya - Dove
Gifted by the lovely Lyncia ♥
Wowsers - it's my first Zoya. Seriously I jumped around like a kid in a candy store when I opened my mail to find this!

This is dove and it's a beautiful grey creme with a tint of blue. I sat looking at it for ages trying to work out what it reminded me of until it hit me ... blu-tack! I'm sure I wasn't the only one in Primary School who put blu-tac on their finger nails and pretended it was polish ... c'mon ... own up!!

Unlike blu-tack this polish isn't sticky and looks amazing! It's such a pretty colour. Application was a breeze and this is 2 coats which covered my nail completely and dried quickly.
[please excuse the 2 fingers with cuts ... the new Ikea furniture won that particular round! Lots of swearing involved. Damn things!]
** Final Verdict **
Love the colour, love the application - all in all ... I need more Zoyas!

... Finger Paints - Add & Abstract ...

Finger Paints - Add & Abstract
Gifted from the extremely lovely Tamala

Firstly ... I haven't been around for the past few days as I haven't felt like swatching or even changing my polish. I caught my right hand middle finger badly and it caught well below where it should [ow ow ow ow ow ow].
I know it's silly but I felt really crappy about it and didn't want to do much with my nails - but I missed you guys ... now I'm aiming to have it grown out in time for my brothers wedding in October *crosses fingers* ... Now moving on!

This is my first finger paints and I was so excited to receive it! If you ever hear random squeals of excitement then it's only me receiving wonderful mail! This is a beautiful colour which I'm going to say is a teal. It's definitely a green blue in the shade and more of an azure blue in the sun. There is a slight shimmer aswell which is beautiful

These swatches are 2 coats on nude nails. I found it easy to apply with no streaks or bubbles appearing. Also the drying time was really good so no need for a quick dry.
Inside looking greeny-blue
In the sun looking more of an azure blue

* Final Verdict *
I love this polish. It was beautiful and easy to wear plus seriously this polish reminds me of my first car - my beloved Mazda. Sadly we departed ways under a year ago and I still miss her. I know it's sad to have an attachment to a material item like a car but we were together a long time. Technically she was blue but she used to shift in the sun like this polish *loves*

... Blue Monday ... Essie - Smooth Sailing

Essie - Smooth Sailing
Welcome to a new week!! Nail mail week!! Like everyone else I like getting mail that isn't bills or depressing things like that. I've had some great parcels recently that I haven't had time to wear yet due to going crazy with purple holos ... so lets get swatching! :)  This beauty was sent to me from the lovely Debby at Maybe you're the crazy one [check her out!!]

This is my very first Essie so I'm rather excited! Essie is available in Australia from Myer but at a price. My local store has a small range priced between $19.95 to $23.00 [ouch!!] so it's a bit too steep for my budget.

Smooth Sailing is a fantastic blue that has a teal and purple shimmer throughout. The polish looks pretty in the bottle but even more exciting on the nail. I think I'm in love!!

Application was totally 100% easy. No lumpy bits or streaks here. This swatch is 2 coats which dried smooth and glossy. Also I found it really quick drying - woohoo! Didn't need any quick dry at all.

These photos look slightly more blue than it actually is and really they don't do this polish justice as it's so gorgeous. I've been constantly stopping typing just to relook at my nails!
Indoors
Pretty in the sun!
** Final Verdict **
I really hope all Essie polishes are as easy to use and lovely to look at as this one. This one is so pretty it's gone straight into my favourites drawer to see another day soon and I'm so lucky to have some lovely people out there who spoil me by finding these beauties!!

... Friday Favourites - Nail Mail ...

Really quick post today as my husband is home and so I'm doing housework instead of having fun painting nails *sad*

Todays Friday Favourite is Nail Mail! 'Cos I'm like most people and I love getting any mail that isn't bills!! These are things that came my way this week [including the 3 polishes I brought today]
[there was another pretty cat bottle but I can't find where I put it down - boo-urns!]

I'm most excited about getting my hands on my first Deborah Lippmann [Bad Romance] and that Cate Ruby [I'm such a pink girl!] but they are all welcome at my place and I'm accepting them all with loving arms into a place into my helmer [with the exception of kitty who keeps getting her tail caught cos she's too tall *sobs* ]

Oh and 3 Chi Chis that I picked up from Target while I was out today - Any Aussies in the house who like Chi Chi seriously get your butt down to Target. They are having a 25% off Chi Chi sale at the moment but for some reason I got more than that off ... the minis were only $3.75 and the full size bottle was $5.90 [which is like half price! Bargain!] I seriously say check it out!! If you are passing! Well worth it.
